Pinehurst Properties, Inc. has been a key local partner in the redevelopment of the 50th & France community. In 2001, the firm created The Pinehurst Building, a mixed use office and retail site which defines the new look of the neighborhood. Most notably, the project has received several awards, including: 2001 "Award of Excellence" by the local chapter of NAIOP; “2001 STARR Award,” by MN Shopping Center Association; "Best In Real Estate" Award by City Business 2000.

Founded in 1986 by Thomas R. Lohmann, Pinehurst Properties' commitment to excellence does not end when construction is complete. In addition to development, Pinehurst Properties also professionally manages its properties throughout the metropolitan area.

Perhaps the firm's most well known project is the Lake Harriet Bandshell, a true Minneapolis landmark.
